Notice of Public Hearing
Rural Community Transportation, Inc. gives notice that, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. & 5311, Non-Urbanized Area Formula Program for Elderly & Persons with Disabilities Program, Rural Technical Assistance Program and Marketing; State Operating Assistance; 49U.S.C. Section 5316 Job Access and Reverse Commute; and 49 U.S.C Section 5317 New Freedom Program, the opportunity is offered and a public hearing on a proposed Public Transit Program in the Counties of Lamoille, Essex, Caledonia and Orleans will be held;
A public Hearing will be held:
AT: Rural Community Transportation, Inc Transit Center 51 Depot Square St. Johnsbury, Vermont 05819
WHEN: April 5, 2010 3:30 pm
Purpose of this hearing is to notify the general public of the proposed 5311, RTAP, CMAQ and Capital application which includes the Elderly & Disabled Program, JARC changes, demand response and deviated route services, preventive maintenance program, marketing and state operating funds, and New Freedoms request:
Projects are described as follows:
Elderly and Disabled Program $757,730.00 5311 Deviated and Demand Response Route Service/JARC $655,676.00 Regional Training and Assistance Program (RTAP) $4,000.00 Preventive Maintenance Program $50,000.00 CMAQ $221,000.00 Capital $246,000.00 New Freedom $ 30,000.00 ___________ $1,964,406.00
Effective July 1, 2010 FY11 Budget Request
Each program requires a local match on federal funds of 80/ 20% administration and 50/50% local match on operations.

A public Hearing will be held:
AT: Rural Community Transportation , Inc Railroad Street 51 Depot Square St. Johnsbury, Vermont 05819
WHEN: April 6, 2010 3:30 pm
Purpose of this hearing is to notify the general public of the proposed 5311 Commuter Route service requested from CMAQ funding St. Johnsbury to Montpelier which may include additional stops.
