RCT is currently transitioning to a new scheduling and dispatch platform. During this transition, some delays and service disruptions may occur as we work through the implementation process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding for our staff during this time- as they are working through this challenge. This upgrade will ultimately help us provide more efficient, reliable, and improved service for our riders and community.

Rural Community Transportation

RCT Rides Microtransit

Serving Lamoille and Orleans County, RCT Rides is an easy to use, fare-free taxi-style service.

Service Areas:

  • Lamoille County: Connecting Hyde Park, Morrisville, Johnson, and Elmore.
    • Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 2 PM Saturday (excluding holidays).
  • Orleans County: Connecting Derby Line, Derby, and Newport.
    • Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

RCT Fixed Route and Microtransit Services do not operate on the following federally observed 2026 holiday dates; New Year’s Day January 1st, Martin Luther King Day January 19th , President’s Day February 16th, Memorial Day May 25th, Juneteenth June 19th, Independence Day July 3rd and 4th, Battle of Bennington Day August 14th, Labor Day September 7th, Veteran’s Day November 11th, Thanksgiving Day November 26th, Christmas Day December 25th.
